Be sure to wander down North Terrace. Regarded as Adelaide's cultural boulevard, it’s home to the city's grandest treasure troves. You'll find South Australia’s state art gallery, museum, library and botanic gardens, which are all free to visit. Nearby, Adelaide Zoo is home to the city's newest attractions – giant pandas Wang Wang and Funi. Or catch the tram to the beachside suburb of Glenelg. This seaside playground is always buzzing with people enjoying the sand, sea, foreshore parks, cafes and live entertainment. Overnight in Adelaide

Our SA Expert’s Top Tip

“Pick up a rental car and visit the Adelaide Hills, just 20 minutes drive from the city. The German village of Hahndorf is a must visit! Lined with jacaranda trees, the quaint and historic stone buildings are filled with art and craft galleries, cellar doors, antique shops, German bakeries, chocolate shops, pubs, cafes and a fantastic cheese cellar.”
