Most of Adelaide’s fantastic beaches are less than 30 minutes from the city centre and the Mediterranean climate means you can enjoy them practically all year round. Catch the tram to Glenelg, Adelaide’s favourite beach, and enjoy a picnic on the grass or a stroll on the jetty. The art deco suburb of Brighton Beach is right next door and nearby Henley Beach is a great place to soak up the atmosphere while eating your fish and chips. Walk 20 minutes north from the jetty and you’ll be at Grange, with its coastal dunes and popular cafés and restaurants.
